JaSkaMon

Homegrown in the Pacific Northwest

JaSkaMon, (pronounced ja’ska’mon) is the Northwest’s premier pop-reggae band led by singer-songwriter-guitarist Barry Klusman (Eclectic Coconuts, Dallas Lovefield, Spyn), The band’s attributes are an endless catalog of original and cover tunes, rhythmically charged for dancing, employing tight harmony singing and infectious horn lines with the full ensemble.

JaSkaMon has produced five CDs since their inception in March, 2013; “Sword and Plow”, “All The People”, “432”, “Spirit, Music, Humanity”, and 2017’s “Good Feeling”. Their latest release breaks new ground again with a more refined sound. Ska, Pop-Reggae and Soca dominate in lively songs about the relationship to the planet as well as to each other. These newest tunes are finely crafted candy for the ears and inspiration for your soul. We know you’ll groove on them.

JaSkaMon’s music video, “Take Me Home”, from 2014, is a tribute to founding member and drummer Marv Bauer who passed away that year. In 2016, JaSkaMon released their second video, “Save Your Land”, produced by Jason Carter (Frank Black, John Fahey) again featuring Chenise Crockett’s modern dance skills.

The band currently released their sixth album, "Could-a, Should-a, Would-a", which features a more modern produced sound by fusing reggae, ska, soca and country with pop sensibilities.
